Just out of curiousity, what would be conisdered fair value on a Walther PPK 7.65 cal, made in 1936. It is in what I would call fair condition, with the bluing pretty much gone. Gun functions prefectly.

Way... Not sufficient information! A fairly uncommon find considering vintage seldom seen. Very much in the formative era of the novi Reich and a number of such with Reich markings which 'if genuine' could considerably affect collector value. You could post the "Max 5" of good quality pix with your own eyeball narrative or "PUNT". So far you're in full Punt mode! Just my take Good luck John

How did you obtain a manufacture date? I’ve got a worn, commercial polish blued one complete with waffenampts obtained by a relative through honest combat. When I tried to look it up the factory’s records were supposedly destroyed. I’d love to discover more about mine.

I see the ppk sell at $550ish for private sale and around $350-400ish for trade in. Not particularly sure this are recent price.

I got a couple hundred bucks a few years ago for a 1940 PP .32, tight with bluing loss and some rust pitting, WaMpt's, known GI bringback. Maybe shoulda kept it, but on the other hand I don't miss it.
Standard PP's and PPK's are pretty common and the collectors have long since filled their collections with nice examples and aren't seeking them. What brings the good money are those with provenance to obscure gov't agencies and military units, proof of who the original owner/issuee was, blood stains engendered by a Me-110 pilots' tailgunner, etc.
