Bland and sugar is added. There isn’t anything thing remotely healthy in the whole cereal aisle. A whole aisle dedicated to cereal, one just for cookies and crackers, another for canned processed food. No wonder it us now common to see 12 year olds with Type-2 diabetes.

Study finds a pesticide in dozens of foods. One effect is that it shrinks male "parts". So now I know what to blame. FULL STORYNot just cheerios, that crap is in alot of our foods sadly. Strawberries are one of the worst offenders, peppers, kale, cabage ect ect

Illegal in the US, but still legal to import foods with detectable residues?
Why? Money buys off the politicians who allow this chit to happen. They say they can flush the chemicals out of certain fruits and it they still work as a very good pesticide. This is the crap many people consume and feed their children. So many reasons to despise what this country has become

I can’t remember ever buying cereal. If I’m gonna eat breakfast, it’s gonna be a couple eggs easy over on top of some fried potatoes with a slab of fried ham or bacon… cereal??? Sheesh…🤡

Tip of the iceberg laddies. Herbicide and pesticide pollution of our food and water is the norm these days. we have a LOT of folks to feed and each year, there are fewer farmers to provide the food. Chemicals and genetic modification are taking up the slack, like they have been doing for a couple of generations. How long can this model work? No one knows. Increased yield from les acreage is what is needed. Yeah....no.

As some above have said, I am not exactly panicked over this. If some of you had bothered to read the article, you'd have seen the graphic showing dozens and dozens of foods from Gatorade to peanut butter and jelly that might contain this stuff. It's also true that this "study" is pretty flimsy. Just another clickbait story, really. (Just like this thread.)
I happen to like cereal. I prefer Cheerios and corn/wheat Chex. I especially like to mix them together, and I always add a scoop of Grape Nuts for a trifecta of crunch. Never add sugar. Have it maybe twice a week. Also have eggs, meat, and toast thrice a week so you need not think of me as a wuss.

Is it true that you can substitute grape nuts for #2 steel shot and hammer geese at 40 yds?

Why? Money buys off the politicians who allow this chit to happen. They say they can flush the chemicals out of certain fruits and it they still work as a very good pesticide. This is the crap many people consume and feed their children. So many reasons to despise what this country has become was just going to reply "for the same reason we can't get Country of Origin labeling on every item sold" I'm not sure, are we getting labeling that states our fruit and veggies are covered with "Appeel"? If I'm going to eat it, I'd like to know the ingredients, and if it isn't washed off completely and it's consumed with the food..................in my mind it has now become an ingredient and subject to the same labeling laws as others. Was going to read the article, but it asked me to whitelist it. I was actually thinking about it, then looked at the little blocker icon and saw it was blocking 216 items. So no, unless someone copies and pastes it here, I'll pass. Re: Cheerios, I'm on the last of the last box at the house. Usually would buy the 2 big box deal from Costco for quick breakfasts. I mix raisins and Craisins 50/50 in a big jar to have on hand for snacks and adding to bread and such. Will put a handful in the bowl with the cereal, add a couple of tablespoons of whole milk yogurt with no additives, and a little milk. After looking at the ingredients more closely the other day, and seeing sugar comes after oats and corn starch I decided I may just stick with my steel cut oats when I don't want a big breakfast. Or maybe go back to Shredded Wheat.........the kind with one ingredient............WHEAT Grape Nuts do not taste anything at like like any wild hickory nut I've ever had.

I read the article posted and my question is why is the EPA offering an opinion?
This should be a matter for the USDA or the FDA..

For the record, I did not get any kind of blocking or whitelist request when I read the article. I wouldn't post such a thing if I had.
