Winchester model 88 in .308. Collector condition (stock 99% and metal 98+%) with no scratches or dings in wood and very minor wear on bluing. Front sling swivel is missing, otherwise all original and complete. 1956 production (second year manufacture). Yes, clover tang as you can see in the second set of pics.

Had one of these back in the early 90s and then another in the 2000s. The first was in 284. Another I should have never let go! The second was like this one, in 308, and accounted for an elk. Fine rifles.

I also had one in .284. Sold it on GB last year. It was in like condition and brought a very good price. I still have a model 70 DBM in .284 which I'll sell later, but I'm having a real hard time letting it go. Only 200 made in that caliber.

Same story could kick myself. Got a nice little 8 pointer on the wall that fell to it.

Probably less than fifty rounds fired through this rifle. The last one in the late seventies.

What a beauty! These are fantastic rifles - I have a couple in 308 and one in 243. I haven't seen one in better condition than this one.
