Can't think of the origin of this case? Was it the 250 Savage? I don't have one. Just wondering? RZ.

You could think of it as a 6.5mm-250 Improved 30°

It was necked down from the 30 Thompson Center (TC) cartridge. A lot of guys think it was made by necking down the 308win, but that is not the case.

And the .30 T/C is almost exactly the same case as the .300 Savage--with a little longer neck.

The 6.5 Creedmoor is also almost exactly the same as the 6.5/.250 Savage RCBS Improved. The "big" difference is the shoulder angle. The Creedmoor's is 3-0 degrees, while the RCBS Improved rounds were 28 degrees.....
