HSS 1" ball endmill was working on soft blade handles, but not so well on hard ones. I got a Carbide endmill.

Great post. I appreciate the effort that went into it. I intend to lift your ideas. Will Rogers said there’s 3 ways to get smarter: 1. Read a lot of books (or Campfire posts). 2. Hang around people smarter than yourself. 3 Sometimes you gotta pee on the electric fence to find out for yourself ( trial and error). Helps shorten the learning curve. Well done. I also make a few knives for family and friends. You make a great blade by the looks of it. A 3” blade is super handy for most jobs.

The ones that learn by readin’.
The few who learn by observation.
The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence for themselves.”
