About $50 and hooks up to the existing doorbell transformer wiring.
Cheaper alternative to Ring, easy to hook up.

Mark was talking about having it documented with the police. Not the 24hr. lmao Either way, I would have went out to see wtf made the noise. Had similar happen once when I was in my twenties and living with a girl in a sketchy neighborhood. (Young and broke) We heard a loud bang like the door had been kicked in. I jumped awake and the gf's cat was standing on the bed, looking out the bedroom door, all bristled up and deep growling. He was looking towards the kitchen/living room. I grabbed my pistol and did the whole sneak thing. When I peaked around the corner into the living room, the moonlight through the front door, clearly showed someone sitting on the couch, in the dark, looking my direction. With pistol in my right hand pointed right at him, I reached around the corner with my left and flipped on the kitchen light. Turns out to be a stack of laundry with one of my caps on top. lol I went outside to investigate in the fresh snow and found the tracks of a stumbling drunk, that came through the yard and slammed into our back door, fell down and got up and stumbled on. It didn't even dawn on me to call the cops before I knew what made the noise... To each his own.

Around here it seems its a thing for high school age boys to run up to someones front door and knock like crazy then run off.
I heard several folks comment about it.
Last month my hunting buddy who is 74 gets a call from his wife saying someone was pounding on the door at 10:00 one evening but no one out there. We were a state away at our hunting lease. He gets on his front door camera app and sees it one of the neighbor kids. Dangerous game if you ask me. Good way to get your azz shot.
Life can be rough on us dreamers.
