Sooooo, the Federales and the Mexican gummint allow the cartels to run and control the border! ......and THEY want to sue American gun makers?
Wonder if they will also sue Kalishnikov, SKS and every other 3rd world gun manufacturer out there?

So when the gun industry retorts with "We did X in these specific circumstances at the behest of the Obama administration so they can walk the guns into Mexico and it's not a design flaw/bug but modification forced upon us by the US Government" - how quick does the US government suddenly decide Mexico doesn't have standing to sue an American company doing business in the US and NOT Mexico?

Probably with our own governments deep state assistance.

No surprise since the Mexicans can't control the cartels.

Class action suit by all the Americans who have lost loved ones to drugs trafficked up from Mexico, against the Mexican govt.
Add in all the people who have had loved ones gunned down in Mexico.

I don't know about WAR but if we were serious and had a serious border - not a Maginot line but something where we really wanted people to remain on their side. Yeah.

There’s way too much money being made and kicked back to both US and Mexican officials for something like that to actually happen. It’s a shame because I bet everyone on this country knows someone or has personally been affected by Mexico exporting their poverty, criminals and drugs here.

Somebody has to frame houses, hang drywall, roof, & lay block and brick.

Then sue the mexican government for the damage/deaths caused by mexican drugs and gangs.


All of this looks like it is being pushed by your dems...I would go as far as suggest that the litigation will be funded by American taxpayers.

The process does not have to make "sense". It just has to make "cents" (billions of "cents") for the right people... Rule of law has long since gone out the window in the U.S. judiciary...

It's ridiculous, but of all the stupid, silly parts of it is that some US judge will allow the case to be heard.

Our borders were sealed after 9/11/2001. No wall, no troops, just the Border Patrol told to do it.

A year or so later the residents along the border complained about the security and they slacked off.

I say we sue Mexico for allowing he cartels to exist and pollute America with their drugs and illegals.

The US should sue the Mexican government for not controlling the cartels.

That may be the excuse promoted by media but I sincerely hope people don't think that is why there is less security. The main reason is all about votes and dollars - basically politically driven.

It's not about winning the case. It's an attempt to bankrupt the gun industry through a thousand papercuts via legal fees and legal defense costs. It's interesting that Mexico's lawsuit coincides with many democrat states also passing laws directed at repealing gun industry immunity and opening them up to lawsuits. It's not a coincidence, this is a planned tactic funded by the liberal elite.

Private companies cannot possibly compete financially with government and state funded lawsuits. I would fully expect Mexico was enticed to take this action by our own government.

I did a LOT of that in my life - all of the above.
Living proof that you don't have to be Mexican to do any of those - you just have to WANT to work.

The want has partly been killed by the pay.
30 years ago when hiring Wets was purely a financial decision. That has driven a lot of folks away from the trades, too little reward for a young guy to go learn.

Locally, there is almost no brown construction, conditions here are different. I’m told by local union drywallers that the union is hiring wets on the jobs they work in Pittsburgh. $50/hr+ Benny? Things have changed for someone willing to sweat.

Seems to me that most young guys just want to sit at keyboards - not sweat.
There a few exceptions, but the few that want to work, are already up to their eyeballs IN work to be done.

I've lost count of the fellows that told me they'd work for cash only. (Ranch labor)
