Who are my 52 experts, I could text/email pictures to tell me what my dad just bought? I think it’s a B but I’m no expert on these things…it’s crazy clean and wears a super clean unertyl scope. Not completely sure what he paid yet but I’m confident he won’t get hurt on the deal.

I'm no "expert" though, just someone that loves the rifles. I recently bought a Japanese reproduction model 52 sporter too. A great addition to the collection. If you post pics here, I'm sure there are some guys that can help you out.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

The M52 Rifle is broken down by 'series' as follows: Pre-A [1919 - 1935] Pre 'Speed-Lock' & 'Speed-Lock' (1929) 52A [1935 - 1938] 52B [1940 - 1947] 52C [1951 - 1961] 'Micro-Motion' Trigger assy 52D [1961 - 1975] single shot and many were marked "U.S. Property" 52E [1975 - 1981] Win / USRAC (only 37 made)
If it is Magazine fed its an A, B, Or C as the D was single shot and the E was as well. The serial Number with the last 2 as xx would help, as well as pictures. I would also remove the action from the stock and see which trigger assy it has , some have the Kenyon Aftermarket which are highly prized ! Rich

Rich Seems weird they didn't make them in '39, '48, '49, or '50? Your numbers are flawed a bit. Where are you getting your info? The 1949 I have is a 52B. You may want to make some changes to your info, or if you are citing from a source, post it.

52C should say 1947-1961 My apologies... I did not include Sporters From 1934 -1958 Info from Blue Book of Gun Values, and articles on the 52's
