Maybe after Musk launches a few more he will start a space trash collection company. What would he charge? How about $10 million/pound of trash?
50 years ago I would have gladly taken a trip to the moon. Today? No way in hell would I board a space launch. Back during the Space Shuttle project it was common for the birds to come home with dings from space debris. I rather imagine that today it would be a guaranteed occurrence.

Graphics like that can be very deceiving. Yes, there are a BUNCH of orbiting objects, ranging from specks of paint to the Space Station. But there's also a lot of...well, space.
Thankfully, there are now accords that mandate end-of-life de-orbiting for most satellites. Some older ones, like the one coming in today, have been up long after their service life, but they did burn up all its remaining fuel to set up this event, even though it took years for it to finally drop down low enough to re-enter.
On the other hand, China has never agreed to such ideas, so their spent rocket stages and satellites are essentially uncontrolled junk when they stop working.
