Thanks to Biden, the cost was only $170/1500 Fiocchi large rifle primers.

The store also had one pound of RL 17. I grabbed it too, but when it rang up at $99, I said no thanks, put it back.

Thank you very much, Joe.

Was going to make a post about these Fiocchi primers asking if they're any good.

Local shop is waiting on several bricks of large rifle to come in from his distributor. He can't price them until he gets them but I'd like to know what they are before I buy any. I skimmed over some stuff about them on the google and it said they're good-to-go. Not as hot as cci but work just fine.

They good primers?

There seems to be plenty of small rifle primers out there. I haven't saw a LRP in many, many months. I stopped by my local gun shop yesterday. They had plenty of powders. Got to lay my hands on some Alliant powder for the first time in a year or more. They had of RL 16, 19, 22, 15, and maybe one more, can't remember, but I'll tell you what I can't forget was the price, 70 dollars per lb.

They also had some IMR powders, 4350, 4831, 63 dollars per lb. Plenty of Hodgdon powders, 52-58 dollars per lb. VV powders available, along with Ramshot and Accurate powder.

Im glad I don't have to buy powder now. Ive got plenty of Varget, IMR 7828, IMR 4895, IMR 4831, Big Game, and plenty of "spark" to last many, many moons.

Ha, I found some today too. Was moving some stuff around and found a box with a 100 prepped and primed LC .30-06 cases, the other 900 primers were at the bottom of the same box. White box Winchester nickle-plated WLR. grin

Too bad your brother isn't living over here anymore. The WLR's at the local ace hardware are $74.99/brick.. They have a schidt ton of them too. Like 8 cases of the dang things..

He still lives there. He was visiting here and a friend of his called to let him know they were in stock. His wife went and bought him a case. I haven’t bought any primers in 10 years and asked if she could go back , supposedly bought the rest. Maybe thats all they had out.
I may check the place here also as a friend let me know they have been in stock. I am pretty sure my estate will have primers left to deal with. Although wilth 4 grandsons you never know.

LGS got RP 9 1/2, Win WLR and CCI-200's in stock this week. I stocked up on the WLR's and 200's. 400 primers per day limit - I went in three days in a row. $9.45 per 100

Ah, ok. I'd have to check when my gf bought 3 bricks for me. It appears it was about 2-3 weeks ago, and the guy said she better buy them because they were selling out fast. But the guy I talked to a few days prior, said they had 8 cases in the back.. I guess a lot of guys needed WLR's around here...probably like your brother, buying some for their friends and family as well.. From what I saw, at the time, those were about the best price around. Which is a shame!!! It will be a while before the prices come back down. I always think I'm stocked up good enough, but looked at how many primers I burned up, and it was well over 6,000 BR2's, and a couple thousand CCI200's, 500 CCI250's, 3,000 BR4's, and 1000 CCI450's, over the last 2 years.. Probably burned up over 10 pounds of H4350 in that amount of time as well.. These components don't last as long as you'd think, if you shoot on a regular basis..

I don't normally like shooting rimfire, but fu ck me!!! Now, even though its boring as hell, I have resorted to shooting more 22lr....

Knowing what current dealer cost is on those primers, they didn’t really hammer you too hard. Believe it or not, the manufacturers and distributors stick it to the dealers when things are hard to come by. True story: When 22 was impossible to come by several years ago, I got an email from a distributor offering a 500 round bulk pack of 22 for every $1K spent. If a dealer offered that same deal to the public, they’d probably never return to the store and they’d tell all their friends not to either.

All I can see in Canada these days are those Bosnia made Ginex primers. Large and small rifle. But there’s plenty of them. There’s no such thing as a Winchester, Remington, federal or CCI large rifle primer in Canada right now.

Today I saw Remington 9 1/2 primers at Scheels for $100/brick. Fleet Farm had them for $10 less. Scheels also had the Winchester Large Rifle Magnum primers though I did not see a price on them. Glad I don't any though.

Also, picked up 500 Winchester 209 at a mom and pop gun shop for $30. They were on the "miscellaneous" table on which various items that come in on trades or to to clear out estates are sold. It is definitely buyer beware but one can get some pretty good deals if they know what they are looking at.

I got a brick locally here back around October for $74.99, and a brick of WSR just last month for $79.99 a brick. Those same ones are now $99.99 a brick here.

We have a LGS here that sells them, but you have to buy 5,000 at a time.

Interesting....very interesting.

Online,.. every price gouging piece of trash has primers and powder in stock.

The trash even offers "sale" prices on some of it.....that is just laughable.

Uh huh, that is interesting too, as that only recently started to happen

No limits on how much you can buy for the most part........because they need to sell it.

Yes, some is not in stock but it is showing up.

Its starting to stack up too, little by little.....even seen it here.

What is very obvious and evidenced by comments here and other forums is that not everyone is buying or buying only a really small amount.

Yes, again you have the one off here and there of semi big purchases.....not like it had been for the trash.

Bookkeeper for the trash can compare to past several years of the last 3 presidents........and sees a noticeable change and a trend that they have done to themselves.

Looking over the shoulder of the other trash and doing the same price gouging has and will keep hampering their sales.

I know man. It sucks!!! I was warned that prices were going to go up at the beginning of the year. By a minimum of 10%.

Bought some Federal gold medal match large rifle today at the new Scheels in Meridian Idaho. $99 per 1000
They had large rifle in Fed 210 and GMM , CCI , Rem and Win. 1000 per person. Wife was there so bought a couple 1,000. May go back tomorrow and pick up some more . They had a lot of bullets Nosler, Sierra, Narnes etc.. unfortunately Im not very mobile due to a recent knee replacement. Driving their damn cart was a pain while trying check things out. I do wish they had Fed 215’s although I still have 3-4 thousand.

I refuse to believe that inflation is to blame for primers that were 35.00 brick to jump to 130.00 a brick.

I still think they are trying to get rich off of us.

PS..... Biden is a corksucker.

WOW! That’s only $100/brick more than I paid for my last primers I bought @ Scheels in Billings. But…..that was a while back! memtb

These first primers I have bought in the last 8 years was in March. Win LR for 79.99 a brick and now the Fed GM match.
Prior to that I was paying about 39.00 a brick if I remember correctly.
I need to do a inventory as I may need to boost my large and small pistol primers and possibly my small rifle inventory.

The Outdoorsman in Ontario has had a steady supply of Federal SPP and LPP over the last three years. The last I purchased were $70/1000. But that has been over a year ago.
