Anyone used these bullets? I am interested in deer results at 100-125 yards. I normally don't like PowerBelts. Thanks and I welcome others' experiences.

No experience with the ELRs. Wouldn’t think you’d need them for 125yds? I always liked the originals but I didn’t chase velocity and used the heavier versions. Still have a good supply of the original Black Belts.
**Apologies, I didn't notice the ".45 cal 285 gr" in the title.

Not in the 45, but my TC Encore 50 cal likes them (300gr?), it’s all I’ve used. Only hit one deer so far, but he went down hard, twitched a little, and was done.

The guys I hunt with used a variety of different bullets, they can all have their issues I guess. Doesn’t seem that any of them hit like a rifle bullet.

I am hoping to draw a CO mzldr deer tag and they require full bore diameter bullets. I was hoping to use my .45 inline. Looking for a good flying bullet. Anyone have any suggestions?

Whats the twist rate in your rifle? My White .45 cal have a fast twist (1-20” IIRC) and shoots the heavier slugs well. No Excuses bullets offer .451” diameter pure lead bullets from 385 to 495 grains. They have a pretty good reputation and cost significantly less (50 @ $33) than the Power Belts.

Sorry, I've never used Power Belts of any kind. Only used TC Shockwave, which I think are actually Hornadys. These have always worked well for me so no reason to change.

Dave, with a 45 you have a ton of options. Check out Pittman bullets or even Fury.
You might have to use a wool wad (patch) or buy a sizing die but they are both great.

I haven't used them on deer yet but after seeing your question posted, I shot several bullets last week using my TC Omega 45.

The scope is a Burris E1 3-9, zeroed at 50 yds. 1 holdover mark hit an inch low at 100yds.
I didn't test further distance or holdovers, yet.

90 grains of 777 was all I tested. I didn't chrono the speeds.

I'm hoping you get drawn and can post some pics after the hunt!
