This isn't a gun dog, just a family pet, a Silver lab. Nice dog but has an obsession with eating anything she can find, mostly sticks, bark, anything. She is a year old, and I have spent that time keeping her on a leash to stop the trash eating. I swear if I didn't do it, she would have died. Yesterday, I went to the range in the morning, and my wife just let her run free with the other 2 dogs. I got home by noon, and by 1PM she barfed a bunch of wood. Woke me up again this morning about 1AM barfing wood again.

So thinking of a muzzle. I'm sure she won't like it, but don't know what else to do. Any suggestions on type or brand of muzzle?

Labs are mouthy, especially until about 3 years old. Can't help with muzzle suggestions, but here are some other thoughts. Labs are chewers so try to entice her to chew things she should, i.e. a Kong toy filled with peanut butter to keep her attention, other toys that create puzzles to get to a treat, etc. She chews a toy then she is not chewing something she shouldn't. Dogs often will become destructive when bored. Give her something to do or take her for long, tiring walks to release energy and boredom. Again, mentally challenge the dog to figure out things and prevent boredom. Lastly, sometimes dogs chew and eat things because they are missing things in the diet so this causes them to eat strange things. Hope some of this may help and someone else may have a suggestion for a muzzle. I feel that is more like putting a band aid on the situation rather than a solution, but people's situations are different. She will most likely grow out of a lot of this behavior as she grows older. Baskerville muzzle. Dog can breathe and pant. But check as they have couple different designs some are more open than others.
