Consider synthetic stock to protect the original furniture.
I am not 100% positive without putting hands on the shotgun in question, but judging from the photos, the engraving and even the Browning name is VERY light, like the receiver was stripped of blue and rust, heavily polished, and re-blued.
It has a Poly choke as well, so I consider it a shooter shotgun instead of a "collector", so I doubt the wood finish makes a whole lot of difference in what it's worth.
