this is a pretty good temperature swing even for Missouri. and the wind is blowing 30 mph gusting to 40 and expected to be reasonably windy in the morning also so that takes the windshield and that 0 to 5° and it is currently 83°

In Allenton ,Wis. ( S.E. Wis. ) the high today was 71 degrees. My morning it will be 18 degrees. Western Wisconsin has already warned that with this much of a temperature drop there may be a tornado. Rain is now coming in from the south and is supposed to rain hard on the Wis. Ill annoy border . By morning they are calling for 1" of snow.

Got to 85 here. Wind is gusting. Plenty of humidity. Cold front pushing in. I figure someone will get tornados tonight.

Down in the basement. Tornado eight miles west of here. Very strange for February.

Not too bad.

No, but I have seen the aftermath, devastating!

Our swings are like this -25 to -10 lol

My mother lived is West Palm Beach FL, she went through a Hurricane years ago, and every house was damaged in her hood, except hers, she got very lucky.

I'll take the swings you guys get over ours!

hurricanes are generally more widespread but not quite as devastating but still plenty for sure. you got to consider I live 45 minutes from Joplin Missouri which is one of the deadliest tornadoes ever.. seen plenty of ef-3 to ef-5 through my lifetime

We have had tornados here too, this picture is of one that happened 15 minutes from my home I believe 27 people died and 300 were injured. Yours are much worse. But luckily you don't get the snow blizzards where you can die of Hypothermia, FAST!

This is a picture of the one, not far from my house. As Morrison sung it, No One Gets Out Alive!

anyone dieing from whether it's for sure tragedy.
tornadoes are fast and sudden and for sure destructive I'm pretty sure they're rarity in your area. as hypothermia is not.

anyone that dies a hyperthermia and that kind of climate is not prepared is a [bleep] idiot simple.. it's a very cold weather climate and you should always be prepared.
around here the EF 3:00 to 5:00 can spin up in a matter of 2 to 5 minutes.. but yes you have some prepared warning on conditions and smart people know how to be prepared .. so many people do not

I agree buddy!

Dying in the cold is stupid!

Tornados it's the luck of the draw unless you have the $$$ to build an underground bunker so you can ride it out in relative safety!

One thing about so. Idaho - no matter how bad it is here, it's a lot worse in many other places. Most of the really nasty wind/cold/snow/tornadoes/hurricanes/ etc. pass us by.

That Sunday afternoon of the Joplin tornado, I was on the Nebraska/South Dakota border and could see the tremendous thunderheads from there. I remarked to a friend of mine that someone was really going to get it.

Still 71 degrees here the front hasn't made it. The weather people don't think we will have severe here but are forecasting it NE of us in the early AM hours.
I don't ever remember 71 at 11 PM in February.

One thing about the mountains is that they prevent tornadoes. Every other year or so, there will be sightings of one but they never top a weak F-1 if that. Had one go through downtown Salt Lake City once; killed one guy at an Outdoor Recreation Convention when a big tent collapsed. We rarely see zero but have been seeing more 100 degree days of late. Mostly it's gorgeous.

Been a real rollercoaster here this week. It was 73° Tuesday, 71° yesterday with an afternoon tornado warning... it's presently 26° and still dropping like a rock with nasty azz wind and a bit of snow.

It's supposed to be down around 19° tonight, then climbing back to 70 by Saturday. Absolute drunk weather swings.

On Monday, it was 60* F.

On Tuesday, we had a blizzard. Cold, howling winds.

This morning it was -9* F.

Tomorrow and Friday they are talking upper 40's.

Weather here in Indy has been weird too 40 degrees for a high one day and 70 degrees the next, windy too. Only one accumulating snowfall of 3" so far this winter. Buddy in Gulfport, MS reports similar weather there too.

The Atlantic Ocean and our mountains tend to calm the nasty stroms that plague you all in the center of the country. We get some severe storms, but nothing like you all get. Hurricanes are a whole different animal and a great compensator for our normally mild weather.
