Next week me and my boys are going to have a friendly .22 shoot at the new gun range. No scopes can be used. I decided to practice with my late grandfather’s 29A. I think he got this gun from a widow for a song in the 1960s. I never asked if Cliff was the deceased fellow. The rifle feeds, fires and extracts perfectly. I am shooting to win. I am going up against three Marlin 39a rifles, and all with aperture sights. I will be just using the standard open sights. Standard velocity ammo? CCI's Standards work well. Keep them young'uns in their place Dad.
