Yeah that’s crazy. Always wanted to try one too. Call them Monday AM. They are hard to get in touch with over the phone. When they had the 4" version for $325 a few months ago, I bought one using the online order system. It shipped withing 3 days. Hell, this price is getting down into High Point territory.

They point great and shoot well. Very controllable friend has one I've shot a good bit. That's tempting

That is, indeed, a ridiculous deal. Free shipping, too. When I worked behind a gun counter back in the 1990s (did also in the early 1980s, but that's neither here nor there), these were coming in pretty inexpensively, too, but that was the first incarnation. I remember handling it, though, and loved how they felt in my hand. As an aside, an early incarnation of this model was featured in a horror/combat video game called Silent Hill (a "third person shooter"), later made into a horror movie. It was the player's primary firearm throughout the game.

I paid that price, several years ago, for an Italian Police Trade In Beretta 92S.

At $300.00, it's almost a "why not" situation. It's a thoroughly modern 9mm service pistol, made with top notch quality, from a highly reputable company. Can't see how you lose at $300.00, plus free shipping. I'm right on the edge, myself.

At 300 bucks if you hate it, you can sell it and get your money back. I ordered 4 spare mags directly from Steyr.
