Any fault with either?
Your preference?
Rifle will be a 700 LA.
Thinking about trying the DNZ 30 mm
TIA.

I have a DNZ mount on my M70 classic FW. I really like the DNZ mounts. I put one on the Rem 660 I had. I have Tally LW rings too and like the DNZ mount more.

Just sayin’……….. I've no argument against the Backcountry's. I don't have enough experience with them to weigh in. The two piece, four screw, version of DNZ's fixes the issues mentioned. The screws for the top caps are LONG, with a lot of thread. The 4 screw versions are wider and robust. Reversing the front leaves a touch over the barrel but helps with ring spacing on the fore. At least on the mini, if someone is willing to round an edge, spacing on the aft can be increased. In this case, with this scope, spacing can't get much better:

I’ve used the DNZ ones in the past, and just didn’t care for them. So far, I am liking the Leupold Backcountry ones I put on my Winchester Model 70 last year.

I'm curious about what you didn't like about the DNZ ones. I didn’t like that they weren’t as slimmed down as the Talley ring and the ones I had only had 2 screws per ring. I prefer a little more bite. I’ve gotten away from Talley though, as I’ve had them break. I still have some Talley’s, but prefer Leupold. Not saying I wouldn’t go back to Game Reapers though.

Can’t stand the overhang on the leupolds. But they are certainly stouter.

That makes sense. I agree that the DNZ look kinda chunky.

I have 4 set of DNZ’s. No issues with them. The Backcountry’s are limited on models.

I have the DNZ on a 7 lb 35 Whelen Rem 700 , load development and hunted bear and blacktail on Kodiak with no issue. I also have them on a 6ld Rem 700 in 30-06 and a CVA Accura muzzleloader shooting 150g loads. I would buy them again.
