There are so many problems in the article cited I did not even go to the pediatric journal. It was laughable. Typical liberal drool pandering to low info women.

I have a 4lb bar of lead in my shop.
Every time I go out there I get stupider.

Here are the facts.

I reload
I cast some of my bullets
I melt and mix my own lead into ingots
I shoot, A lot
I used to spend a lot of time at an indoor range
I used to help clean out the bullet traps at said indoor range

My lead levels were just checked 3 weeks ago, Zero, Zilch, Nada!

I call that article total bullshit! I don't care who you are, unless you've lived in a bubble all your life from birth, a test will find lead in your system.

I'm probably older than most here at age 85. I started serious shooting and reloading t age 15. That included casting bullets. I've mixed alloys trying to find what worked best for and probably shot more cast lead than any jacketed bullet through all these years. For a few years I worked in a gun shop that sold cast bullet which were cast in the back room of the shop. I would do it in the evenings after work at my regular job and on weekends full time. A lot of exposure to lead back then.

For one thing, the base level of lead in the body for one born on the 1930s is a lot higher than one born say 30 to 40 years ago. I've been tested more than once for lead. Guess I didn't eat enough chips off my crib as a baby.

Zero lead levels in a person is kind of hard to believe. Putting aside the exposure from shooting and shooting related activities, the lead we've put into the environment from lead paint, leaded gasoline, lead plumbing, etc. is still lingering on and almost everybody alive has higher lead blood levels that people did before the industrial revolution.

I ate lots of paint chips and I'm fine, so many colors to choose from.
