I'm not sure what strain of cherries come off their trees but they're significantly better for pie filling than canned cherries, quite a bit more tart. Every now and then she'll bake me a pie and I don't even share with the kids. I can walk on water.......................but I do stagger a bit on alcohol.

Makes a mean egg custard and pecan pie too. My specialty is sweet tater pie. I like buttermilk chess pie too. I haven’t had any in a while. Y’all putting a sweet tooth craving on me - gonna up my blood sugar reading for a few days. Been craving a mincemeat but could never find the mincemeat at the grocery during the holidays. Got a fine rice pudding in the oven right now.
