I hope this is an appropriate forum for this question. I have a 1993 Winchester Model 70 Classic that needs a new extractor. Old posts at this site mentioned Williams extractors. I can't find any indication of Williams, and neither Brownells or Midwest had any ideas. Winchester FN says their new extractors won't work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Williams is out of business. You could post a wanted to buy here in the classifieds; or watch eBay. There are usually a few on there.

What chambering? I have two factory ones from my 375 and 416 that I swapped Williams extractors for.

Ebay has some for magnum rifles. $54.99 plus $3.00 for shipping. Another seller has some for $39.95 each. OP does not say what cartridge his rifle is chambered for.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I had a similar problem ordering new mag springs for my classics; BACO said the new production ones wouldn’t work on the old rifles. I detected BS and called them back a bit later and spoke with another person. That gal said they were the same as they’d always been, but that after Winchester closed all the parts were given new part numbers and nobody working there knew enough about the guns to know that. I ordered a good supply of replacements and sure enough, they’re exactly the same.
I’m betting it’s the same deal with the extractors.

Or are you avoiding that thread like the plague. ha ha.. Is he just a pizzed off Remington 700 lover, hating on the Winchester model 70?

Wait until you have the gas block (or whatever it's called) break and lock the bolt closed!
Nothing is 100% perfect.
And I'm pretty sure I've swapped BACO extractors onto real Winchester actions.
Winchester rifles and Swarovski scopes.

Thanks to everyone for their input. My classic is a 25-06 and I may try the one at Numrich shared by Brad; it looks to be a Williams based on the markings. I'll post a report after I receive my extractor. Thanks again.

these extractors can get broke when a person does not push shell / cartridge down in magazine ,you should never just push cartridge in the chamber on a claw extractor they can break.
