Yes, I just waited for five months to get an appointment and the day before the appointed day they called and canceled my appointment. They advised that the the dentist was unavailable. WTF! So, I made another appointment for 4 months later. The soonest I could get. When I do get to go, they will moan to me about not getting my teeth cleaned often enough. Yeah, ok!

Mine has a cancellation list. Many times get right in a couple days not weeks or months. Always make my next appointment 6 months ahead.

Dentistry has become a racket. They pressure you to make frequent appointments to be examined for the purpose of padding their own pockets. Back in the day, you only saw a dentist if you had a tooth ache. Now they work hard to plant in our heads that we need to come in every six months. That's because the old model didn't allow for nearly as many dentists making a nice living. As a result of this new model, you can't get an appointment when you need one, because they are fully booked months in advance.

My old dentist wouldn’t let you make an appointment without paying upfront. Wanted me to get my teeth cleaned every 4 months. I finally found a good dentist. Local guy who grew up where I live. He’s not obsessed with money. Takes good care of his patients. I’m with this guy until I die or he retires.
