Came across these for $9 per box of 10. I probably overpaid, but for that price, why not pick up a couple of boxes? I'm sure someone at my club would appreciate the empties. In the next few weeks I'll take the Browning BPS .410 out and run some 3" Federal #4, Remington #6, these Winchester #7.5 and Federal TSS #9 through my stock full choke, Indian Creek, and Carlsons TSS choke tubes at 20, 30 and 40 yards.

Bet they'll pattern well enough to the distances lead 7 1/2's can be reliably trusted to penetrate and kill a 20 pound bird.
I've patterned regular 3" Remington 7 1/2 field loads from my .410 to 30 yards. They/it would definitely do the trick. I wouldn't want to trust a lead 7 1/2 pellet much farther.

Nor would I. I don't use 7 1/2 for anything except on the rare occassions I've hunbted birds.

If the pattern holds, they will kill the bird.
I keep 35 and under with 7.5 lead personally.

I didn't even know Winchester had this load until I saw them. For the price, they were hard to pass up. I'm looking forward to seeing how they do.

I would like to see the patterns when you get a chance to test them
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

Honestly wouldn't waste my time with the #4s, not even 100 pellets in that load.
If you get a killing pattern to 25 I would be very surprised and I feel 20 may even be pushing it. In a .410 on the pattern board I always liked 5s or 6s but this wasn't for turkeys either, I didn't need density in a 3-4" circle.
If you like the 7 1/2 they will kill to whatever distance they have an acceptable pattern at.

I have no doubt. But I'm not going to use #9 TSS on every critter I might shoot with that gun.

This load doesn't show on Winchesters site from what I can find.
If they offered 7.5 shot in a 3" 20 gauge load I could get really interested.

Agreed that would be slick in a 20ga. I’m going to stuff my tk2000 with some this spring just to do it. Should be pretty effective with 2.5oz of them

I'm and going to try to shoot some patterns today. The Boy Scouts are on the range until 12:30 and there's an 89% chance of rain this afternoon, so not sure I'll be able to do it.
Edit: now it's not gonna happen today. It's only 11am, the rain has started, and its supposed be be steady rain all day. I'll do it another day.
I am also going to take the #4 and #6 out of the equation. I've already hunted with those and if I am shooting each load through 3 different chokes at 3 different rtanges, that's a lot of shooting. That would be 9 shots per load or 36 patterning shots. I don't even have that many targets. I'll just do the #9 TSS and #7 1/2 lead loads. I'll probbaly only do the #9 TSS thru my Indian Creek and Carlsons TSS chokes at 30 and 40 yards.
I also wants to test pattern those Fiocchi 12 gauge loads I recently got.
