Bought a couple of new guns last year for range toys . in doing my research I noted most did not have high comb or monte carlo stock .
As I use scopes for hunting and range I think high comb is highly preferred for alignment with crosshairs .
To make matters worse I prefer lever guns .
Henry now offers the 22 magnum express and I think this design is a step in the right direction. They also offer the Long Ranger in 243 Win.
This cartridge is good for longer range shooting and the model ( long ranger ) implies it is the right rifle to use it in . Yet it doesn't seem to
sport a raised comb/monte carlo stock.
So ...... my question to the gun writers. As I believe most of us scope our rifles ( exceptions like brush guns understood ) why are the manufacturers
not setting up most of their rifles with raised comb stocks or at least offering that option when ordering . Thanks in advance for your consideration .
