In Canada, the leading cause of death for men is heart attack while Shoveling Snow, no joke!

Which is why my Lady shovels the chit.

Putting the snowplow on, and getting feed sorted and things ready for the 12-18 inches they was calling for here, kinda reminds me of that country song, "I shaved my legs for this?". Got up this morning to .01" in the rain gauge and no snow. Only got maybe 2 inches all day here in the Trail of Deer...... no use for the plow or feed this time.

I live on the west side of Colorado Springs, on the Mesa. There was about 7" at 11:00AM. The snow stopped for a while then it started falling again. About 9 " deep now. It's been several years since we have gotten as much. I don't see any fallen limbs or downed power lines yet. We will take the moisture whenever we can get it. I know there are places that get a lot more regularly.

Patty and I just got back from the Arizona gathering. The weather was great. We should have stayed for a few more days.

Dawn on Friday: 16" deep and still falling. For us, this is a SHTF event. I know it happens elsewhere regularly, but it is rare here. People should just hunker down and wait it out. You need chains on all four wheels of a 4x4 to get around. There will be a lot of people who will try to drive and they will clog the roads with stuck vehicles.

18" -20" here.

Interior lights blinking yesterday afternoon, but no power outage. Whew.

We powered through that one and hopefully that's the end of our March Blizzards.

Sun is out, temperatures rising, the big melt begins.

Thanks for all the cards and gifts, you guys are the greatest! smile

IOW, it was a real event and no False Alarm.

Great news Sup.

Got a good 3/4 inch of rain here in West Texas that was a real major blessing and a nice cool spell after some unseasonably warm weather lately.

It's been several years since we had a good cool NE wind blow which is very rare and appreciated and brings moisture and the rain chances are supposed to stay up for a few more days.

Maybe it will provide spring growth and insects so the few quail that have survived the past 3 years of drought can have a couple of hatches this year.

You have never "powered through" anything.

Here's a pic of the beast showing her husband that she could compete with some skank named Monnica.

Got inside information from actual residents of Conifer Mountain: 42" in some places, 33" everywhere. They always get dumped on when there is an upslope storm.
