It was our beloved Pepper's 8th birthday, so we treated she and her sister a little. Had a blast at the beach with them.

The girls had London broil steaks, rice and veg, with a small dollop of vanilla ice cream with broken up fortune cookie to celebrate.

Today, Mrs. KG decided it was time to dust, and as I watched on dutifully from the couch, observed her pretty badassed Japanese style technique for dusting. Try that with a fork, you fuggers!

That beach looks funny.

Like it was raked or groomed or something.

A few times a year, the local beach overseers or whatever they're called take machinery to clear the beaches of the copious seaweed and other stuff that gets pushed onto the shore with winter storms. Not sure if that's what happened before we got there, but it's possible. Remember though that we get tides better than 11' during the year, with heavy surf and waves that scour the beach clean pretty frequently, so it's very possible that the smoothed surface was entirely natural.

Thanks for the comments. Admitted buzzed post. Gomen, neh?

Hey bloss,

They're building up the jetties straddling the Hampton river inlet. Winter storms often beat the shyt out of and shift the massive granite stones that are put i place to line the inlet. What that heavy equipment is doing is trying to shore up said jetties.
