My Mauser M18 shoots rather well. I tried some factory fodder but ended up with 139 scenars. Hornady 147's eldm at the 300 yd mark

I've had 5 or 6 6.5 PRC rifles and, luckily, each has been extremely accurate. In my opinion you'd be hard pressed to do better than a Seekins Havak. Mine's a PH2. Based on your dollar cap you'd have to find one used. On another note, the Ruger GoWild version is extremely impressive for a $600 rifle and makes me question, often, why I would buy any other make and model. Good luck in your quest.

I have the seekins ph2 in 6.5 prc. I know it’s above your price cap but close enough to consider especially given the quality of the rifle and the excellent CS from seekins.
My local dealer charged me 1759 a year ago.
