Well worth the time to read.

It’s very hard to argue against any points that he made in the essay.

Even Aerosmith can see that something has gone awry…
“There’s something wrong with the world today
I don’t know what it is.
Something’s wrong with our eyes
We’re seeing things in a different way
And God knows it ain’t His
It sure ain’t no surprise, yeah
We’re living on the edge

Thanks George.

The article puts a name on and describes what I've been saying for several years.
Instead of Paganism, I call it Satan or Evil.

I have a wondering mind, it finds obscure places.
Have spent much time pondering what makes our country so special.
Of all the place, all the people, over centuries...why here, why us?

Natural resources are a big part.
Lots of them, and varied.

Geography is another huge one.
Varied terrain, most productive in its own way.
Harbors and rivers provide transportation.

Another flies in the face of popular thought.
A level of homogeneity in our population.
The melting pot theory has validity, but we weren't trying to mix hot lead and water either. Hugely European, from a few countries. Similar looks, basic beliefs...

That leads to the nature of our founders.
They were of a mind to build a nation that was good for all men.
They weren't interested in special interests (too much) they wanted
everyone to be free.
From repression, and to succeed.
I believe that comes from Christian beliefs.

And before some radical God hater talks about someone's lack of Christianity,
the basic moral standards of that day were much more Biblical than many
churches today.

Excellent read. Thanks, George. This quote from Dillonbuck's post expresses very well a thought that I have had:

The melting pot theory has validity, but we weren't trying to mix hot lead and water either.

Diversity is our greatest strength. Really? What does that mean? Where is the evidence? Plenty of examples where diversity, at least certain forms of it, results in less than positive outcomes.

Good read -thanks.

I know over the past several years, I've come to see things as "a flood's coming. Not getting wet isn't an option. Prepare to operate knee deep in it". That is to say the idea we'll simply vote our way out of this is long since passed. Understand that is not going to happen because we're not going to vote it out for the 3-4 generations it would take to reverse course.

Empires tend to last 270 years.
Reserve Currencies last about 100 years.

At the end of each, there is upheaval. America sees both happening (if they happen on course) about the same time.

Empire - 2046-2058
Currency - 2044

There is no "if" - only "when" - what are you/me/we doing to prepare ourselves and our souls for that event? IOW - Titanic has hit the iceberg, no amount of maneuvering is going to stop the sinking, stop burning energy trying to stop that and use it to prepare for what the sinking means.

If we view melting pot as "you are welcome here but once here - you take on and join the specific culture we've built" - that works I think and did for the great Italian, Irish etc migrations we saw in the 19th century. Within a generation of landing here, those people were integrated to American society and thriving.

The problem is we've become "you are welcome here, we're going to make sure you can retain and mimic the old culture here and God help anyone who tries to say one doesn't belong".

We've gone from a bowl of stew to a cafeteria tray, all the ingredients divided up and trying not to let any touch.

The other problem is - open and free society that allows a difference of opinion but we do not allow ourselves to shed bad opinions. We hold onto and propagate opinions simply because it was said, not because it's right.

People and ideas counter to the Constitution and freedom should be viewed, not as "a progressive with communist thinking and we must allow that as a free society" - They need to be seen as cancer. Cut out and destroyed. You can have opinion, speak opinion, but once that opinion is anti-Freedom, anti-US - you're treated the same as we would any other enemy and eradicated.

We could never go to that now tho - cat's out of the bag and the Dems would use it against the pro-freedom/Constitution folks - essentially cancer killing the host instead of host killing cancerous cells. It's just too late.

Good points, Teal.

We hold onto and propagate opinions simply because it was said, not because it's right.

That was my point about the whole diversity schtik. Uncritical parroting of a concept, propaganda,

Different take on the melting pot thing, and totally right.

I've told the story of my Great........Grand Dad.
He got off the boat, renounced his German affiliation and swore allegiance
to the King. (Then fought against him!)

Point being,
before the United States was, those coming here came entirely.
Heart, mind, soul, and became...American.
That continued until my lifetime.

The stories are eye watering to any deeply patriotic American.
How citizenship day was right there with their wedding and the birth of children.
Grown (rough and tough ass men) crying as they took the oath.

Becoming a citizen today is weighed on a scale.
Benefits vs cost.

The 2 final paragraphs stuck with me.... Trying to accept that God's plan may include the loss of our Republic... I sure hope we don't have to accept that event but every news cycle seems to suggest that it could happen.

Thank you for posting this.

The task for Americans today, Christian and non-Christian alike, is to see the decline, understand what it portends, and prepare accordingly. This is not a counsel of despair. For Christians familiar with their own history, nothing is ever really cause for despair — not even the loss, if it comes to that, of the American republic. History, as J. R. R. Tolkien said in one of his letters, is for Christians a “long defeat — though it contains (and in a legend may contain more clearly and movingly) some samples or glimpses of final victory.”

What he meant by this, in part, is that we cannot in the end vanquish or eradicate evil. Our world, like Tolkien’s Middle Earth, is a world in decline, marred by sin and corruption, embroiled in a rebellion against God. But as Christians, we repose our hope in a God who can, and indeed already has, conquered sin and death. So we await the dawn, and in the meantime, we fight the long defeat.

Anyone know "exactly" who that guy in the video is?

Can't find much info on him other than he is a journalist, went to so and so college, etc. No real info about his life.

Diversity can be good(ish) if using different paths to a common goal. Unfortunately all the self declared diverse populations in the US seem to use different paths to socialism and white hatred. I’ll pass. The time will come when we of European Caucasian heritage will either have to accept reality and resist the minimization of our culture with the violence used to attack it, or be eliminated.

That time is waiting for the alarm bell to sound and smoke to rise.

In the MEME thread There’s a world map in color showing where White Civilization presently exists.

We have come to a unique place in our nation after some 248 years. Those living according to natural law; according to the mores of the past; generally by Judea-Christian values, etc., in exasperation, find there is no longer a basis for communication between our disparate tribes; between the right and left as we like to term it. There is now no common ground; neither is it sought. Our cities are 3rd World. Our congress is completely ineffectual. Our judicial system has its hand on the scales.

We listen and find the legacy media, the administration, the president (to the degree he is even able) to be in a polar universe. There is no longer absolute truth, right or wrong. Moral ambivalence, immorality define entertainment, business, health care, and politics. Every aspect of human endeavor. We daily watch our justice system litigate unjustly.

Much of what we see and hear on a daily basis defies common sense and is obviously harmful, pure lie, and deceitful. What’s more it’s pure evil. From the Bible we are told “powers and principalities” are really whom our war is with. The spiritual powers of real evil that lead men around to do evil as if they had hooks in their noses. You can see it. My opinion is one aspect of the derangement we see is God taking His hand off of us as a nation — the beginning of judgment.

None of this relativism is hIstorically new. But it is rampant here now and has been incubating for a long time and only increasing. Our unique founding shown as a bright light among the nations for hundreds of years was always at risk. As BF answered, “a republic ma’am…if you can keep it.” It demands a moral and knowledgeable voting public and we now have neither. The same is true of those people we put into office. About every other day it’s downright embarrassing as to the stupidity, the incompetence, the vitriol we see expressed. So we are losing that republic and no one president or administration will reverse it. Slow it, perhaps, policy-wise. This is really an unseen spiritual battle most are completely blind to. Note, that there will be nothing withheld to keep Trump out of the presidency. Nothing. People talk about Black Swan events, some almost unbelievably large event(s) that will be used to change perceptions, limit freedom, grab and hold peoples’ attention, or worse — don’t be surprised.

The church weakened and its influence waned for multiple reasons over the past seventy years. In religion (the Christian faith) a prolific writer and noted theologian, John Walvoord, once stated that “liberalism” in the church always leads to heresy. The corollary is that in government it always leads to chaos, lawlessness, and totalitarianism. Man’s inclination without being led by God’s commandments leads to a literal survival of the fittest and the control of all, meaning you and me. The elites and the masses.

So what? Even most of those older than four decades who don’t pay attention sense a general deterioration. Those who do have very good reasons to be very concerned, even alarmed.

In my Christian faith’s eschatology, the immoral trajectory combined with both geopolitical and technological developments, I see what the Bible calls the Tribulation on the horizon. The Time of Jacob’s Trouble, a period where there will be never before seen levels of violence, “natural” disasters, warfare, pestilence, famine and death,…and persecution of the Jews. This is a period of God’s wrathful judgment of unbelievers and the process of calling out a remnant from Israel.

Next week or ten years from now, I don’t know and nobody does.

My last word: the above is coming. But when? There is a way out. It’s what we celebrate now, on Easter (a pagan celebration and a misnomer for Christians). It’s the shed blood, death and resurrection of Christ which will pay for the believers’ sins. Those is no other way.

Francis Schaeffer, a 20th cent theologian and philosopher, stated that if he had but an hour to explain the Gospel to someone, he’d spend 55 minutes in Genesis and 5 minutes on John 3:16. You have to know how you came to be here and why you are in the condition of sin you are to understand the need for a savior, Jesus Christ.

Where is there a commandment from Christ to worry?
It's simply all God's Will. He created the diversity and the plan.
We are to do what Christ has commanded us.
Trust and obey. Pray, and keep your house ready for His return.

I concur with your sentiment. And on the contrary, when Jesus said, “Do not worry,” it wasn’t a suggestion. Put another way, “Thou shalt not worry.”

That said, it was a good article. And it has much truth in it.

There is no such thing as Judeao-Christian values. Jews smirk at that expression but let it go. The new covenant overwrote the old. Jews hate everything Jesus represents. But they like goyim thinking they are Gods Chosen People, especially the Zionist savages who require our spiritual backing and financial support to even survive. They have just about severed that crucial life line now in Gaza; thank God. Christianity is the antithesis of Talmudic Judeo belief. America was not founded as a Christian nation, technically. The founders were, for the most part, well educated aristocrats who based their ideals on classical civilizations, Greece and Rome, English common law, all seen broadly through a Christian lens. After centuries of religious strife between warring Christian factions, they wanted nothing more of that! When you read from colonial times about diversity, it was raw intolerance. Irreconcilable religious (cultural) differences were, in fact, the basis of all the separate, but equal, states. The English of Virginia complained of the "wild Irish" and "sour Germans." They hadn't seen nothing yet! The 2000 year evolution of Christian thought itself is a recent and short lived tradition in light of other religions, not to mention much broader ancient concepts of God. Such perspective isn't widely condoned among many believers today, who find such evidence impossible to resolve within the bounds of their faith. Pity...

Since the subject matter of my original post here was very dark and ominous, it seems very good to end my participation by topping it all off with this very timely (Easter weekend) answer (see link below from the same source, The Federalist)) to the question, “well, what then can anybody do?”

It also greatly expands on my last post.
