Let me get this straight, the Israeli Jews are savages and the Arabs are civilized?
Israel is developed nation, while none of their Arab neighbors have achieved anywhere near Israel's level of development. If it wasn't for oil, nobody would care about them.
The British promised to give the Jews a homeland via the Balfour Declaration of 1917. The British were given mandate control of Palestine, Iraq, and Trans Jordan by the League of Nations after the Ottoman Empire was defeated in WW1 and much of it divided between the UK and France via the Sykes-Picot Agreement. The Jews agreed to the UN's plan for the physical division of Palestine, but the Arabs didn't and have fought multiple wars with Israel since it was established. Israel has been in a constant defensive posture since it was established, as the surrounding Arab nations have all pledged at one time or another to destroy Israel and drive the Jews out.
I think that the Israelis should keep killing Hamas fighters and accept the fact that some civilians in Gaza are going to be die along with the fighters, its call collateral damage and it is a know fact of war. I still don't understand why the Egyptians won't let the women and children from Gaza cross their border into the Sinai. If they did, those people would be out of harms way as the Israelis are unlikely to initiate an attack on Egyptian soil. If Hamas returned the hostages they would get a temporary ceasefire and more could be done to help the civilians in Gaza. Until then, the killing will continue.

No mid-east country wants those stateless Arabs inside their borders.It always ends badly when the radical "Palestinians" inevitably attempt to overthrow the government of their host country.
