"I pulled her ass out, put her in an armbar, slammed her to the ground and got her into custody" - Officer Brian R.P. Schimmel bragging to an accomplice, 24 January 2024
I don't necessarily think that other officer was an accomplice. He was probably thinking Schimmel was a dumbass.
He was giving advice on how to make it stick so it wasn't adversarial.
That is not what I heard.
I heard the BU officer telling Schimmel he had done fugged up, in a very politically correct manner.
"I know these people. You better make sure you dot every I and cross every T."
I am sure BU officer went home that night and told his wife, "You won't believe what that fugging idiot did today."
I am glad they are eliminating Schimmel from the force before he recklessly killed someone. I do not know what had the idiot that wound up. You can hear the stress and emotion in his voice and see it in his actions from the time he got out of the patrol car.
Who knows, maybe he just found out the Mayor was screwing his wife, and this innocent High School girl took the punishment.
The backup officer let Schimmel drive off with a bound 18 year old female after being advised "I pulled her ass out, put her in an armbar, slammed her to the ground and got her into custody" . Fortunately he actually took her to a detention facility which the "good" cop(if he was actually suspicious of, or opposed to, Schimmel’s actions and erratic, emotionally charged behavior) had no way of knowing Schimmel wouldn't go the in for a penny, in for a pound route.
You completely discount that Daddy was following the squad car.
Not much chance for nefarious activity, unless he intended to kill Daddy first.
That's just a bridge too far.

We know Schimmel lied about the window not being rolled down, not providing id, and any safety concerns to justify assaulting the young lady, so why not?
It was daylight so what difference did the headlight make and was the speeding claim even true?
Schimmel was armed, unknown on Daddy.
Schimmel had a radio and however many cops were listening for support. Daddy was on his own.
Now we'll be lectured to about how the poor officer lost his job because of anti-police attitudes.
This guy should never have been hired, we know that he was fired from his last police job for his anger problems, and now he does it again. He should never be hired as a police office again but I suspect that he will because the boys in blue will take care of their own...after all, it's us "civilians" against those valiant cops that put their lives on the line EVERY day.
