Many thanks for posting this! I hadn’t read it before and this goes much further than what I have read over the years!😀 I’ve posted several times that the North American Continent has fathered two successful revolutions, our own in 1776, and the Texas Revolution of 1836. Both of these started when an overreaching government attempted to seize privately held firearms. The British tried it in 1775, and the Mexican government tried in 1835. Neither government succeeded. One would maybe think that our own national government would have taken notice of this, but many of our supposed representatives have missed the lesson, and still insist on attempting to disarm a free people! Privately held arms are one of the cornerstones of our republic! The Second Amendment is in the Bill of Rights because our founding fathers recognized that freedom of speech (First Amendment) and defense of are what separates citizens from slaves! Reon
"Preserving the Constitution, fighting off the nibblers and chippers, even nibblers and chippers with good intentions, was once regarded by conservatives as the first duty of the citizen. It still is." Wesley Pruden
