We've been baking freshly cut rampling into our Irish style soda bread but substituting kefir for buttermilk with excellent results. Waiting for basil to come up so we can blend together ramps, basil, olive oil, nuts and Parmesan cheese to make fresh pesto.

Wonder what their growing limits are, because we do not have them here?
Apparently not latitude, or elevation.

They grow in Southern PA.
I don't know where to find them, we always got them in bottom land near the river. No access for years, don't find them higher where I often spend time.
If garlic keeps vampires away, eating one ramp per year will keep you safe!
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

My buddy sent down a care package last week with ramps, fiddleheads and morels. My wife sautéed them all and served with backstrap Au Poivre. Man I miss livin' up north....

Propagate by seeds, or the bulb "splitting" like garlic?
