I just got back from the range with the old ladies '06. I loaded up some 200gr cast to plink with. I only shot at 25yards since she is gonna be the one to sight it in at 100. Anyways with 10 shots my group was 1.02". Remember this was only 25 yards but I think it will do pretty good at 100. I wish I woulda had more loaded up otherwise I woulda moved it to 100 to see how it would do.
Anyways the laod I was using was 13.5gr of Unique with the 200gr GC.

Thought sounds like a fun load! Do you cast your own? If not, where did you get them? That heavy of a bullet would sure make one have to concentrate for offhand practice.
I'm looking to use a similar type load to use up the 200, 110gr Hornies I have.

Pointer, No I dont cast my own. I picked them up off E-bay with shipping for under 10bucks.
I didnt shoot them offhand but recoil was non-existant. I got some more loaded up and I'm curious on accuracy at 100. I think they would make a great varmint round with a call (to get them in close). Now if I can just recieve my 35 whelen, I got a bunch of 158gr cast

Sounds like a fun one. I'm gonna try that this winter, nice little .30 holes in and out!
