Norma is introducing some new chamberings in .300,.338 and .375 calibers and is planning to offer Whelen ammunition and brass. I think there is a message about the Whelen in all of this CP.

I could not locate anything on Norma's site about the .35 Whelen. Could we have a more precise link, or maybe an excerpt?

Thanks,

Dennis

Found it on page 33 of their download. It's on their "Planned Products" list and says it'll be offered with a 250gr Oryx bullet.

I'm was happy to hear that they'll be offering 8x68S ammunition and a "heavy-weight" 9.3 Oryx bullet. It is good news regarding the 35 Whelen too. Seems like a somewhat unusual chambering for a Euro company to load.

Found it...took about a beer to download the catalog...it's a long way from Sweden to Alaska for all those little electrons, hurry though they might... grin.

I like Norma brass, though I have no complaints about R-P .35 Whelen brass. Just happy to see them adopting Remington's red-headed stepchild.

I could like a 250gr 358 caliber Oryx bullet VERY much.

Oryx are in my top 3 of favorite bullets, just not available in many calibers.

Hope I don't ever have to ask for Oryx by name crazy

Don't think Norma would go for calling a bullet Moonpie, but you can hope........

I'd like a better supply(options) for brass. I just ordered 100 Remmies and the jury is out on how they'll do. I've always preferred WW brass for some reason.

Remington is the only brass I've used in my Whelen, over the past 15 years. I have had exactly zero complaints or issues, and the rifle shoots rather well, so...I'm guessing you will like them fine.

If you don't, blame Bush. Or Steelhead.

I just bought some 35 Whelen loads from Nosler Custom. Norma makes the brass for Nosler so it makes since for them to offer it with a Norma headstamp, they are already geared up for production.

I think the same holds true for 280 Ackley Imp. which is available from Nosler and Norma.I'd like to add that I've never had a problem with Remington Whelen brass and have used it since the late 1980s too.

You might want to take a look at the headstamp on the Nosler Custom 35 Whelen loads. Mine say Remington!
