I received my update disc tonight. When I installed it everything went O.K. I thought .

But now when I click on the Quickload icon I get this message :

"Quickload c V.3.4 : Program installation not complete .
Start set up program again from install disc Pos . 10

I am running Windows XP professional on my computer. I have Quickload 3.2 installed at this time.I re installed the update twice and always get the same message.

The QuickDesign program installed correctly I believe.

Thank you.

The current update is intercepted by a feature of a 'Windows update' not exactly known yet. After copying the new exe-files to the harddisk the files are rendered useless and mixed up with the old files. The shipment of the Update has been stopped, because 1/4 of the users report that behaviour - for about 3/4 of the users it works. Please contact Ed Dillon of NECO for help. Instead of Updates we deliver actual Install CDs until problem is solved.
Under the directory quickload\old00\ you will find the old version still working and you may use meanwhile the newer data files with this older version too.

Thank you . I emailed Ed Dillon at the same time as I posted this . You were the first to answer.

I was told today by a user to change compatibility mode - then it should run:

Right click on QL/QT icon. Pop-up menu appears. Select properties. Select Compatibility tab. Select Windows 98 mode. Select ok.

Unfortunately that idea doesn't work . I deleated Quickload and Quickdesign first then reloaded the programs .

I get the same error code again.
Then the system slowed down and I used "RESTORE".
