Nice work!! I love it/hate it when that happens..... BTW - how was that angle for penetration (obviously the deer on the ground would vote for "PLENTY" )? Did he shoot through the joint or scapula?
Biden's most truthful quote ever came during his first press conference, 03/25/21. Drum roll please...... "I don't know, to be clear." and THAT is one promise he's kept!!!

Bute of a buck there, congrats!

That deer was walking briskly, feeding on acorns when Gerry bawled at him, stood up, drew, aimed and released the arrow in a single motion. He shot the buck through the scapula down into the lung.. Six inches down the shaft the arrow broke off inside the beast turning one lung to jelly. I'm figuring the blades of the Spitfire Pro severed an artery as the buck was down a mere 60 yds. from impact site. Mentally, I figure you need to penetrate two major organs for a solid hit on a deer when shooting a bow, ie. double lung, heart/lung or lung/liver but the kid keeps severing blood vessels and proving me wrong. Somebody up there really like him!

Very nice buck. I wish we had those deer genetics in our deer.

Our genetics here are super. The buck on the left is a 3 1/2 year old taken 45 minutes into the season, two years ago. The other was his first deer EVER, a 10 point, 9 1/2 year old taken with a muzzleloader just missing the book because deductions, measuring 138 7/8 with incredible mass.

Down here, ours have that coat all winter. They are reddish-orange through the summer.
Now with even more aplomb

I love the buck on the right. Looks like an old battler.
