I have a couple stray cats and a couple mangy ole dogs hanging around my house and I want to get a pellet gun to give em a little sting in the arse,I am looking for something cheap ,How many FPS should I look for ?? Any ideas on a cheap or used one ?? Thanks Skeeter

Daisy bb gun, Red Ryder, or a 880 w/1-2 pumps, avoid head shots if you don't want to kill, once tried to 'sting a squirrel' for the heck of it, and killed it....head shot about 25 yds...not intended ...on that one!

Slingshot will do to, if you can hit with it.

Sling shot is out of the question , I couldnt hit the broadside of a barn with one of them ,A red Ryder and "I might shoot my eye out" Just kiddin around ,Thanks for the reply Skeeter

Something on the Red Rider order or a pump style pnumatic where you can vary the velocity by the number of pumps (Benjamin's are nice but about $100) - that way if you decide to terminate one of the critters a few extra pumps will take care of the problem.
