To Eveyone, I sent Rick Bin a PM ... He runs this site and I asked him the following ... Rick, I am not certain a single 'Marlin Talk' forum will work for the Marlin crowd. They generated a lot of posts and were very active. I visted both site, this and Marlin almost daily, makes my life easier now with one site.
I would like to suggest the following.. How about a subject banner 'Marlin Talk' like you have for reloading. and under it I would suggest the following forums
1. Medium bore Lever actions ... i.e. 30-30, 35Rem ... 2. Big Bore Lever Actions ... 444, 45-70 etc... 3. Cowboy Lever actions ... 1894 and like 4. Marlin Rimfires 5. General Marlin .. Marlin stuff not in other Marlin forums and he replied ... Fine. I can do that. EMail around and let the troops know I'm willing to do that if they want me to. I was waiting to see how everything shook out. I don't want to do it for 35 new members. But if the majority of the crew will move here, then let them know I'm game.
They can make the Campfire home.
Rick If you want him to do this chime in and let all the Marlin Talk orphans know where we are.

Offer stands.

Hey,
Rick... me speeling anit al that goood neather?
One of the troubles with MT going down no warning is that many of us do not have the email address of many a fine folk, so it seemed this was the best way to get the word out.
So if I jumped to 'far' ... correct me if in error. .. Just seemed the best way to present the situation and possible home for all MT orphans

Put my name in the bag for wanting some similar marlin talk subjects here. The big bore forum already put up makes me happier than I can tell ya, but I would like to see a medium bore one also. Thanks so much for reaching out to our needs.

I always read everything at the MT site. I liked the Rimfire and Misellaneous Talk (SP)? and the Lever Action site. The H&R?NEF site was not very active tho I visited it eveyday. Mostly I always ended up reading the MT Misellaneous posts. Just my 2 cents thio.

'Ding-Ding'....chimed in here!! I'll frequent whatever there is here RE: Marlins!! By The Way...MARLIN TALK is BACK UP, for a limited time ( 2/20/04 ) as a 'READ ONLY' forum, so that those interested may download info, threads, E-mail addresses, whatever!!! Thought I might pass that along to those who hadn't heard. Lee.

Rick, You're a gentleman, and a scholar! He is that. But I think if you strectch it out there will not be that much interest.Lever gun's works for me.We don't need leverguns with a sling or with a scope.Marlin didn't have it,why should others? Marlin forums are gone.Let's adapt and focus. There was plenty on this one before and they don't need ten more forums to accomidate the Marlin refugee's.Were on there turf now and it is a good one.Just jump in on the forum of your choice or interest, there is enough of them. Thanks Rick for an already good site. Just my opinion.Jayco.

This is awsome!
Thanks so much to the staff and hosts here at the campfire.
I've lurked here off and on for a while, spending most of my time at Marlin Talk. This is really great, all of the features of Marlin Talk and so much more. I think I've found a home. I'll pass the word around.
Thanks again for a great format!
Marlin- only the best leverguns.

Rick I wont say your A gentleman and a scholar where I live that'd make you horse thief. And you deffinitely rate higher than that. Thank you sir Hooker
