thank you for response i'll search the web to see if they have a web maybe with prices I had them rebarrel a 338 for me this summer, (hart barrel of course), if memory serve me correct I think they are now in the $1200 range. I got my Hart .224 barrel off the classifieds last year, bull barrel threaded for a Remington. Dropped it and my Sako .222 off before Christmas, and picked it up before Easter. (I'm just an hour or so west of them. Bobby, that is.) barrle turned to the Sako contour, .625 at the muzzle, snake-skin finish, action and bolt face trued, lugs lapped. Load development consisted of 21 gr IMR4198 behind 5ogr Vmax and Blitzking bullets, OAL to runthrough the magazine. The Blitzkings won, going .5-.6" with a 6x32 Swift scope. Went forth and slew groundhogs. Bobby and company are great to deal with, and build quality firearms.

R.W. Hart I knew that R.w. Hart made actions many years ago. I knew they flatly refused to make them any more for a number of years. When did they start making actions again??? If you want a great action, look no further than Jim Bordon, you want a top end rifle built, stock, then Jim is the go to guy. This is not to cast disparage on any other builder. My money rides on Jim Bordon.

Most barrel companies would have refunded your money right away and it does not take a year to sell a standard caliber barrel btw, they sell many of those 30 caliber barrels each day...I would not be satisfied with that kind of service. Hart was not out a dime on the production of the barrel and they got a years interest from your deposit...

All I can say is that I contacted them and asked them to attach one of their barrels to my action. They didn't come to me. I reneged on the deal but still got my money back. I thought I was treated fairly.

The Hart people are fantastic. Any rifle that you build with one of their barrels is going to simply amaze you.

I have 3 customs with hart barrels and two with Borden stocks. Both shoot better then I could ask for.
