Maybe a dumb question, but does lowering the weight on your bow change the arrow speed?

Yes, rule of thumb is for every pound = 2 fps.

Yep, but sometimes the lower draw weight gives you more of an advantage than 10-20 fps does.I used to shoot 68-70 lbs., but recently dropped the weight down to 58.Lost 18 fps average, but I feel like I'm pulling a kids bow.Really nice when it's freezing cold, and I'm in a bad position trying to draw.
