I'm building an AR and would like opinions on chambering for the 223 AI.
Pro's and Con's. Is it worth it or just stick with the original.

I am having feeding problems with my bolt gun 223AI. I wouldn't dream of trying to get in to feed in an AR. Stick with standard 223.

This gun will be used for predator hunting.
I've heard that some have had feeding problems and others have not. Hope to hear if anyone else had trouble of any kind.
This gun will be chambered in 223 or 204. I'm just toying with another option.

223AIs feed 100% all day long in AR platforms and have done so now since the mid 90s in matches IIRC. For varmints I'd happily take the AI over standard 223 any day.
204 works well too, but I'm more impressed with the 223 AI, if shooting things further out and larger than PDs

I've been thinking about a 223 AI also, the guy that would build it for me says they work just fine.
He tells me I can expect about a 150-250 fps gain in velocity.
