I have a Cabela's chinese made side cocker in 22 cal. After I shoot it a bit, like 50 shots or so, the screws are loose and the action is loose in the stock. Do I need to pillar bed this thing? I've had it a few years and it has about 800 rounds thru it. Should I return it, if they will take it, and trade up to an RWS or similar?

If it is accurate tighten as necessary.

If not return for a possible more accurate springer.

To be honest, I've never known any spring piston gun to NOT shoot loose after a time. There is a lot of two-way vibration with the spring piston guns. I have a Beeman, and I just make it a habit to tighten it up after about every 50 shots. Loc-tight doesn't help, in case you were thinking along those lines. And accuracy does fall off when they get loose. That's for sure. I've seen good Leupold scopes turned to junk in a day when mounted on these air guns. That's why they need a specific air gun scope built to take the two-way recoil from these guns.
