Yes, I remember the Hawes single actions. This one is the target model with adjustable sights. I had a .44 mag fixed sights. Actually, a very good quality single action copy made by J.P.Sauer in Germany.

J. P. Sauer.... same folks that make Sig Sauer auto pistols? I guess I'll hold off on making a snarky remark about where the other 47 rounds hit then Would appear Popbear knows at thing or two about which guns to trade for.... is that a Bisley style grip?

Nice!! Shootin' like that, I'd have it on the hip quite a bit.....
Biden's most truthful quote ever came during his first press conference, 03/25/21. Drum roll please...... "I don't know, to be clear." and THAT is one promise he's kept!!!

Yeah I was going to suggest he shoot a whitetail with it before the season runs out... those adjustable sights would make that a cool hunting rig..... but then I remembered he has that new .340 Magnum to try out on our armor plated deer....
Maybe in a few more years he will get past his magnum phase.... deer hunting with the Hawes would really show some panache....

I don't know about the Bisley grip I'll have to do some more checking on that. Oh, the Hawes is heavy as the devil. If you run out of ammo it'd make a great club.

That grip looks exactly the same as the grip on the Hawes Marshall that I had. It's a rosewood laminate extended grip.
My Hawes was heavy also but it was pretty trim. I think that the reason it was heavy, despite its size, was because it was all forged and machined. Really was quite a fine single action.

I had a Western Marshall in .44 Magnum caliber I bought about 1970, new it set me back $71. I shot the heck out of it with mostly cast bullets, replaced the trigger three times and a bunch of springs in it. It was a wonderfully accurate pistol to boot!

It's not a Bisley grip. It's a modified single action army type grip like a Super Blackhawk, sort of.

I'm not set up for the .45 Colt yet but I expect it won't be long before I am.
