and fore end for a Marlin 336 RC--Mine was made in 1951 and Marlin will not take 'em in this old!! I've been looking at the on-line sites like gun part corp, and I am not sure if the stock I get must be a "RC" or will a "C" fit just as well? The only "RC" I have found was a camo stock-synthetic I guess, and I'd rather not go with a synthetic stock 'cause 1. it might make my 35 rem intolerable to shoot, and 2. I think they are just UGLY. BUt if it doesn't make the ole 35 kick like a mule and it is all I find, I will make do.

any help, advice is appreciated

Dave, check cabela's. I know they have the stoc[walnut], but am not sure about the forend.

Lubbock Dave, Iwas looking through one of my many boxes of "Stuff" not to be confused with "Good Stuff" and happened upon an unfinished walnut forearm for a 36. I do not own a 36 and never have so the vintage is suspect. I think all 36 forearms are similar. This one is bare wood, walnut, and fully inletted it came from Boyds gunstocks as part of a repair I did some time ago on a fellas 36, only replaced the butt stock. I do not know the vintage of that gun but I think it was from the 60's You can have this forearm for $10.00. Let me know and I'll ship it to you if you give me an address. Make the reply a PM if you are interested, I almost never look here in the Marlin zone.
