Hey Mark,
One of the guys I work with said they dont get thre beef from montana anymore. Comes off the sysco truck. He said its no good anymore???
I like Sir Scott's Oasis. We stop there quite a bit for the fried chicken on the way home from logan. Mint is really good but a little expensive. Other then that Mark hit the nail on head.

Willow Creek, Land 'O, Mint, Oasis in that order. LaHood is awfully good as well if you don't mind traveling a little farther.

We used to eat at the Black Angus, the food was great and pretty reasonable. I don't even know for sure if it's still open as we haven't stopped in Bozeman for a few years, or more.

Im one who will highly recommend the Mint in Belgrade. Lots of evidence why Bozeman has gone to hell in these posts. Sounds like the damn west coast. Given the new demographics, you can find about any kind of Kalipornya Kwizzeen there. Its interesting that we get a lot of people coming here from what I call The Outer 49 to get away from whatever it is in their state they dont like and seeking the Montana Experience. Unfortunately, when they get here they try to transform The Last Best Place into their old stompin grounds. I know this doesnt apply to all of our new residents ; but, apparently it applies to all of them that have any say in the current and future culture of our state.

im not big on the steakhouse kinda place.....if i want a steak ill drive up the road to my butcher, tell him what cut, what thickness and all that and have steaks cut how i like and take them home and cook them like i like and it will be local range fed beef......been months since we have been out of town and the wife wants something different than what we have or make ourselves.....for example our favorite place to eat when we are in Great Falls is the 3-D International out in Black Eagle and have the Mongolian grill stuff......the wife also likes Japanese restaurants(minus the sushi).....cause its stuff we dont get at home......

And from what my old man says, Bozeman is gay.
He was lucky enough to graduate MSU(civil) in the late '60's.
Of course I'm living off the growth so I can't say chit about the DSMFer's moving in. I love 'em!

It is, but I can't say that it's a 'steakhouse'.
Pretty much a deadzone these days.

That sucks. When I was up there(way back in '95) the Black Angus was one of the best steak places in town.

Things have slowed and it just might be a good time to jump ship.......Maybe.
I'll always like Bozeman though.

I have not been to Bozeman since 96 sometime, I hear it has grown tremendously.

It's still fun and it's the only Bozeman I've really known.
However I've got a much better 'new' place in mind.....grin
