What kind of loads are you all shooting in the rock river predator pursuit? I just picked it up today.. Has a 1 in 8" twist I believe but not for sure. I think they all have the 1 in 8.. Is that correct? Just wanting to see where to start for the reloads... powder, bullet etc... What kind of groups are you all getting with yours?? Looks to be a shooter

I don't have one. They are indeed 1:8 twist. The advantage of the 1:8 twist is they will stabilize a heavier bullet if you choose to shoot one. They will also stabilize lighter bullets quite well too. What are you looking to do and what do you have on hand to shoot? That would be where I start. I prefer the 50 grain bullet in the 223 for varmints, but I do not shoot long distances with one. I have shot 600 yard Service rifle with the 1:8 223 with 75 grain bullets, which shot pretty well. I currently load my .223 with H4895 and a 50 grain bullet (1:9) for best accuracy but there are too many choices. Just load some up and have at it.

I use Ramshot Tac powder, winchester brass, Sierra 65gr Gameking BTSP, and Rem 7 1/2 primers in my predator pursuit. I get around 1/4" for 3 shots at 100yds and they put the smackdown on hogs and coons. Goodluck.

I just picked up a Predator Pursuit Rifle last week. I haven't had the chance to shoot it much, but so far, it shows great accuracy with every bullet I've tried: 69gr Noslers, 69gr SMK's, 60gr V-Max's, and 55gr V-Max's. I tried some Varget (Sierra's accuracy load for 69-grainers) and Benchmark powder. I'm currently using Rem 7-1/2 primers.

I've got a couple more powders I want to try, just because, and some CCI 450's sitting on the shelf as well.

The PPR is the nicest AR I've owned. It's not too heavy, and seems to handle about as good as I'd hoped.

Thoroughly enjoying Alaska since 2001.
