Is this the best place to ask?
What kind do you have, or would recommend?
What do you like/dislike about yours?
Thanks in advance. Of course software will follow. Bob

I have a Pact PC-1 ( think that is right model) and it works fine. Like any of them it has limitations due to lighting, but if that is still an issue, one can quickly learn to overcome the issue. It has more features than I ever needed, but would be willing to bet that is because of the chip used to build it.

I had a OLD "Shooting Chrony" prior to that and it performed well for the limited price. Velocity was it for that unit, but it was HANDY!

I use a basic Chrony. If you have a scientific calculator you can compute all the statistics you could want. For the price they are just fine. I have access to a Oehler but the Chrony is much quicker and easier to use. Just my 2 cents worth.

Been using a Chrony Beta Master for about 10 years. Would buy another one.

Pact Ballistic Computer. Never had a problem with it.

How do the measured velocities compare between the Oehler and Chrony, elkhunter76?

I have the ProChrono unit. It is rare that it won't read, regardless of lighting conditions. Plus, there are no wires to fool with. You just slide-lock it into the tripod, set it out in front of your rifle, turn it on, and start shooting. I don't even run the skyscreens unless the sun is really beating down.

Now with even more aplomb
