OP 35WhelenNut Campfire Member 3 Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 323 North Texas	For Sale: Remington Sportsman 78 in 338-06 Ackley Improved w/22� bbl. Need a new elk rifle??? This rifle was originally chambered in 30-06, and was professionally rebored and rechambered to 338-06 Ackley Improved and bedded into a Remington synthetic stock. The rifle is in really good condition and is very accurate as can be seen in the pictured groups below. The sights have been removed and the holes filled with plug screws. The only real blemishes on the metal are on the barrel where there are two small bands where the bluing is somewhat lighter than the rest of the rifle. No pitting or rust anywhere on the rifle.
