I have been loading with only mauuals and a Chrony for many years. Semi retirement has given me more time to reload and shoot. I am semi competent with a computer and would like to find a program that will let me predict internal and external ballistics a little closer and faster than my regular " Just load it up and see how it comes out " method. I've read all the posts here lately and an still not sure which program would work best for me. I regulary load: .243, .308, .358 Winchester and
350 Rem Mag and 45-70, 44 Rem Mag for rifles. For hand guns I load 38spl,357 mag, 44 spl, 44 mag. Also do any programs have shot shell data ? I load 28ga, 16ga, and 12ga.

My recommendation would be QuickLOAD, but I haven't tried all the programs that are available now. So I can not say that QuickLOAD is the best that there is � just that it's the best that I've tried.

There's a long learning curve. Mastering it isn't a one-evening exercise. I'm sure that that's true of any thorough program.
