As a newbie and dumb as rock, i need some help with finding a mag box that will work in a 722 rem. My son broke the stock and when he tossed it the mag box went with it.

Try :

Jack First Distributors, Rapid City, So Dak. They can tell you over the phone if they have it, price, etc.

If they don't, contact Gun Parts Corp, Numrich, NY. (Also known as Numrich Gun Parts.

thanks for the infomation. I will check on those places you mentioned. Is there any way a mag box from a 700 ADL or BDL could be modified to work in the 722.

They are completely interchangeable except for the depth. I have stocked a couple 721s with LA 700 mag boxes. And there should be no difference in the SA models. If you are using the original 722 bottom metal the BDL box is the one you want.

FYI... You can replace the 722 bottom metal with 700 SA bottom metal but there will need to be a very small amount of filling done around the inletting.

Added after the fact... the model seven box should be as interchangeable as the 700...

I have some 722 mag. boxes and bottom metals. Do you need one for a .222 Rem or for the larger cartridge like a 300 Sav?

email:jmcmunnimbris.net if interested.
