Im looking to get some dies that I can get finer adjustment and possibly more accuracy out of my loads. Im currently using the old standard RCBS 2 die set and am thinking on buying this set.
Are there alot of advantages to using this set vs the standard RCBS?
I understand this has a bushing and it has to do with neck thickness, can anyone explain this to me?? Do the bushings come with the die or do you need to buy this extra?

Cheers!!

Bushings are sold seperately. If you get a good set of RCBS, they can load just as well as any on the market. The advantage of the bushing type dies is being able to control the amount of sizing done to the neck and/or body of the case and the elimation of the expander ball. For die sets, if available, I get the Redding body die, Type "S" neck bushing die and a Forster Ultra seater.Rick.

I have my .17 remington set up with a Redding neck bushing die with the titanium bushing .....this makes it pretty nice if you shoot alot , because no lubing and un-lubing of the case is needed , and it works your brass at the absolute minimum .

Eventually , I'll get the same die for my 204 s .

While standard RCBS dies are good, my experience is that the Redding Competition set is a definite step up. It's what I use in my .223 loading and it creates consistently better ammo than any standard 2-die set I've ever used, including Redding's own.

Redding asks that you order the bushing .001" smaller than a loaded round, to allow for brass spring back.
One die is full length resizer...use as req.
One is deprime and neck size only
and seater of course.
They are a joy to use for bolt guns(havn't tried in semiauto)
Produce consistent straight loads and will get more as funds allow.
Got a good 1" micrometer too as bullet diameters vary from one weight to the next, and one manuf. to the next, changing neck tension on the loaded rounds . they are straight though in .260rem, .308,6mmbr
